The American Theatre Wing’s Tony Awards have announced James Corden as the host for their 73rd award show.
Jack Sussman, Executive Vice President at CBS Entertainment, believes Corden is an excellent choice for the event. Corden previously hosted the 70th Annual Tony Awards in 2016, which had the largest audience in 15 years. He also won the Emmy award for outstanding special class program for his work on the 2016 Tony Awards.
Corden is currently the host of ‘The Late Late Show’ on CBS. He’s no stranger to musical theater either, having won a Tony Award in 2012 for his performance in ‘One Man. Two Guvnors.’ The 2019 Tony Awards will be broadcast live on Sunday, June 9, from the Radio City Music Hall in New York.
