Per the Blast, Ex-husband to Mary J Blige, Kendu Isaacs wants the Queen of R&B to ante up another $35,000 per month, claiming that he is the inspiration of her Divorce Songs. The songs— Love Yourself and Set Me free are about their relationship, thus Isaacs believes he should benefit from the profits of these songs.
Moreover, Isaacs claims to be unemployed and cannot find work as a result of the bad press he has received since news of the divorce went public.
The Judge overseeing the divorce turned down Isaacs’ request. He will just have to make do with the $30,000 per month in spousal support he already receives.
